Diagnosis of Heart Disease wit Computer Aided Tomography (click for see)

This is a technology which is present only in a few hospitals in Istanbul, often refered to as a Cardiac CT scan.

There are different types of CT scans used o help diagnose heart disease :

Calcium scoring heart scan  : The calcium scorig heart scan finds calcium deposits found in the coronary arteries. This is one of the most effective ways to detect early coronary calcification before symptoms develope.
Coronary CT angiography (CTA) : The CTA is a non – invasive heart imaging test that produces a high – resolution, 3 dimensional Picture of the moving heart and its vessels. Fatt or calcium deposits (plaques) in the coronary arteries can be seen.
Total body CT scan :   Total body CT scan is used to help assessing potential problem sor diseses before the symptoms even appear. This scan captures the lungs, the heart, and the abdomen and the scan lasts about 15 minutues. Total bosy CT scan is an effective screening method for early detection of some diseases.
